Over the Summer I experienced an EXTREME breakout on my face. It was located on both sides of my cheeks and also on my lower chin, closest to my mouth. No matter how I tried to rid my skin of these annoying bumps, they just wouldn’t disappear! I mean I seriously couldn’t shake them and began to get embarrassed. I would even describe it as having a “pepperoni pizza” breakout. Until one day my other 1/2 asked me “When was the last time you cleaned your cellphone?” I was lost and confused. What ever did he mean clean my phone? I’d never done that before! As I replayed time after time of me placing my phone face down on tables at restaurants, on the counter at the post office or even just floating around in my Glam Tote…that thing had to have been FILTHY!
Then I hit Google! I read about how our cellphones are as dirty as toilet seats and the bottom of our shoes. And how those dirty germs caused breakouts. Scary right?! Can you image how many dirty things you touch, then pick up your phone to text someone, then take a call and place the phone on the side of your face?? GROSS! So here’s what you need to do EVERY DAY: be sure to wipe your cellphone with rubbing alcohol & a cotton pad/ball or alcohol wipes. I’m sure other methods of sanitizing can be used, but this is what I do. Ever since I started doing this, my face has been completely clear from the breakouts!
And just to show you how serious this is, I clean my phone (sometimes twice a day now because I’m paranoid lol) and these are the results…
You can even pass this beauty tip to your brother, husband or father. I’m sure this is a tip that EVERYONE will enjoy!
I work in the legal dept of a hospital so i keep a small spray bottle of alcohol in my purse for other reasons, but i will definitely start using it for this. Sometimes when I walk through the hospital then come back in my office i will wipe hand sanitizer all over my work phone, but i have never thought to sanitize my cell. Thanks for the tips.
