This week’s Glam-Aholic is such a sweetheart! I admire her sense of style along with her love for all things fashion & beauty. We have a lot in common, which is why I wanted to share her with the rest of my Glam-Aholics 🙂

Mia Ray: What does FASHION mean to you?

Fashion to me, is the way you carry yourself. Its everything from your hair to the nail polish on your toes. Fashion is what allows us to openly express our individuality and showcases our creativity. To me Fashion is a Lifestyle..

Mia Ray: What are some of your favorite trends that are happening right now?

There’s SO much going on right now but two of my favorites are Funky Wedges and Bright Colors. I love the fact that although they’re the new “Trend” neither item has to be worn in a ‘Trendy” way. For me, I’d wear a funky wedge casually for day and a brightly colored blazer dressed down for night.

Mia Ray: What are your 3 favorite hot spots to hit and find great pieces?

I’m no label whore but I do like nice, DIFFERENT things. I love Asos.Com and Zara for designer quality inspired pieces. Most recently *sad to admit* I’ve been hooked on Macy’s new Impulse department. Now I’m no department store shopper AT ALL, but they’ve recently started collaborating with London based designers for some super cute London inspired pieces without the London price tag or high shipping lol.

Mia Ray: What trends do you love that mostly describe and inspire your style?

Tribal Inspired Jewelry and Prints!  The big medallions, stacked bracelets and glammed out earrings are all right up my alley! I describe my style as Boho-Chic. I love the Bohemian feel of tribal prints and jewelry but I’m also obsessed with simple glamour. I’m the girl that rocks cargo pants, a leather bomber and a jeweled top.

Mia Ray: What are 3 pieces in your closet that you can NOT live without?

My light denim distressed jeans,  black Priorities studded blazer, and my Sam Edelman wedges will all be going with me to heaven.

Mia Ray: Who do you look up to in the fashion industry? Who are your top 3 most fashionable celebs?

I definitely look up to and adore Rachel Roy. Her clothing speaks to me in my sleep. Not only is she a great spirit, the way she mixes feminine fabrics with spikes and skulls is genius.  In my eyes some of the most fashionable celebrities are Victoria Beckham, Angela Simmons and of course Mrs. Beyonce Carter. I know I’m missing a few but I think when the stylist clock out these women can hold their own

Mia Ray: What tips can you give our Confessions Of A Glam-Aholic readers on how to achieve stylish looks?

First, stay away from “Mannequin” shopping. Everything that looks stylish on the mannequin won’t work for you, and that’s OK .  When building a stylish look start with that one super dope item in your closet that you LOVE and build around that. Mix different textures and pops of color to add that unexpected element. Stay true to yourself and remember, It doesn’t have to match to make sense!
