Question, In today’s generation is it fashionably acceptable to wear pantyhose? I’m 50/50 on this one. Since I’m a part of team varicose veins, I rarely show my legs…but when I do, I always wear pantyhose. Like a lot of women, I work in a traditional office setting and sporting bare legs with a dress or skirt is very inappropriate for work. You’re practically forced into wearing them. With the holidays right around the corner, a lot of us may want to wear a skirt or dress exposing our legs, even if it’s 30 below outside lol! But the option of rolling on some pantyhose will result in a more classy look and keep you warm! But are rocking pantyhose a thing of the past? Would you be committing a fashion sin?!
So when I saw the pics of Evelyn and Teairra Mari decked out in the same $795 sheer embellished mini dress by Jovani, the bare leg question arose again. Both of these beautiful starlets stayed true to the “ice capades” flock, accessorizing with nude platforms and sparkling jewels. While Teairra bared it all, Evelyn opted for a pair of nude pantyhose to complete her birthday look. Both ladies look glam! But I must admit that Evelyn’s sheer pantyhose make for a more polished look. While a nice pair of pantyhose can transform any fit, on the flip side a bare leg can make or break it. It can either add just the right amount of sex appeal to a look or entirely too much!
So what are the determining factors when deciding to go hose or bare? I feel it all has to do with what type of style you want to achieve. Stockings are more sheer now than ever before so you don’t have to stick to buff beige. Ultra sheer hose are great replacements to the stockings we remember our grandmother wearing! So the debate goes on, Confess your glam and let us know how you feel!

I am allergic to most pantyhose, but there are some brands that I can wear. Most of the time I buy dresses than to at least my lower because i have cellulite on my upper thighs.
I like this look on both ladies, but Evelyn’s out fit looks more constructed, IMO.

I like the pantyhose on Evelyn but I think the bun with the stockings makes her look like a figure skater…lol…BUT the stockings
do work I just would have rather seen her hair down…

I love stockings and tights! My girls often make fun of me but sometimes going without stockings makes you outfit look incomplete. Stockings or no stockings….. When ur dope, you can rock anything!:)

Evelyn looks amazing. Your point about bare legged running the risk of being too sexy is very good. Hosiery, when worn right, can ride that line between sexy and sophisticated in a very unique way.
