Same Girl…Different Hair: 70’s Inspired

What’s your favorite era of hair? Well for me, it’s the 70’s!! Big feathered curls and bold afros are two styles that I have been obsessed with for as long as I could remember. Looking back at old photos of my mom, makes me wish I grew up in that era. But don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to be an 80’s baby lol!  So when my hairstylist Malika told me the vision behind her latest photo shoot, I was extremely excited! The look was: big feathered & layered curls, bell bottom jeans and oversized sunglasses. That sounds like the perfect recipe for a sick photo shoot. These were the first images that popped in my mind; Pam Grier, Thelma & Wilona and of course the epitome of 70’s hair, Farrah Fawcett!

Malika went to work and brought these looks to life…

Sick right?! Those curled layers sent me over the edge! So we decided to go with a quick weave and since you all know that I am a fan of any and all hair, this hair was only $25 a pack. Yes, you heard me…25 bucks! I’m always willing to give any hair a try and plus I have something new up my sleeve for Glam-Aholic Lifestyle, so my pockets are FLAT! LOL But anyway, here’s the hair that we used…

In the photo above hair, make-up and bracelets were all done by Malika. I’ll be sure to share the outcome of the photo shoot soon! Also over the weekend once these curls fall, I’m gonna do a video tutorial on how I curl my hair using flat irons. Many have asked, and I feel that this style is perfect to show you ladies how to achieve a curly look!

A new medical crisis can soon become extremely expensive and that’s guaranteed to quickly impose a financial weight on the family finances. Having in place the perfect travel insurance bundle prior to setting off is well worth the time and effort. Thank you
