Glam-Aholic Remix: Love & Hip Hop

Although the season finale for Love & Hip Hop has aired, the style of these ladies are still the talk of the town! So while catching up and watching the marathon of episodes, I noticed that Chrissy and I had a few things in common. Between her and Emily B., I can’t pick who’s style is my favorite! So I hit my closet and decided that this would be so dope to show my Glam-Aholics how easy it is to REMIX any style you may see someone else rockin’! Not to mirror the same exact look, but take it and make it your own…

The first thing that caught my eye when I saw Chrissy in this look was “Hey! I have those boots!” And I’m sure many of you do too. These Minnetonka Moccasins boots ($90) are crazy popular right now. I purchased them from Macys last year and have them in two colors…

This comfy look can be worn when out running errands, while still looking stylish. I decided to cut a pair of Rock & Republic jeans that had become too short and began to flood lol! So instead of throwing them away, I decided to turn them into cropped shorts. I picked up my sweater from Forever 21 around Christmas time and receive compliments whenever I wear it!

So, again as I watched another episode I said “Hey! I have those shoes too!” LOL I’m sure we all remember me drooling and falling in love with these wedges from Aldo! Although they are no longer available, you may be lucky enough to grab a pair on eBay…

As I looked over her fit, I remembered the taupe jumper that I’d never worn before. I went to my closet and there it was, tags still attached lol I’d picked it up back in the Summer and had never got around to wearing it. I hate when that happens! lol

Last but not least, one of my favorite looks of the season! Yes, very simple it was…but I’m a simple girl. I love how Chrissy takes average pieces and turns the entire look around. Nothing too fancy, just a regular girl that knows how to take style to the next level. This episode I said “Wait a minute, I have a pair of red jeans!” I’d remembered window shopping online at Forever 21 and noticing a shirt that was similar to the one Chrissy is seen rockin’. So, to make this look come alive…I bought it!

To add a vintage feel to the t-shirt, I used a pair of scissors and made small incisions to create tiny holes for a battered & worn look. Although I’m not sure what color shoe Chrissy wore with her fit, I decided to wear my brown suede Halston platforms to create a complete color story…
