The tour of the year is currently going on and setting the summer on FIRE! The On The Run Tour with the King + Queen, Beyonce’ and Jay Z, has us all wondering “What am I gonna wear to the concert?” I recently had a deep and thorough conversation about this with a great friend of mine. We tossed ideas back + forth, sending pictures and imagining how these looks would turn out, as well as measuring our level of comfort. Anytime I plan a concert look, I take into consideration “How long will I be standing up?” and “How far will I have to park and walk?” I am NOT the girl that’s wobbling through the stadium in a pair of 5 inch heels…concentrating more on my painful feet than the entertainment lol! No way Jose’, I’m ALL about being comfortable and enjoying my night!
Although, a few concert dates have already taken place, there are still plenty of cities to catch the tour. If you’re looking to find a bit of inspiration, I’ve created a few looks that I’ll describe as “What Would Mia Ray Wear?” ha!
COMFY GLAM: Wearing a sequin blazer with a pair of comfy sneakers is like enjoying the best of both worlds. You don’t have to compromise your stylish appeal. Instead mix your style + comfort to create the perfect look!
POP OF COLOR: A mix of prints as well as a splash of color will brighten up any look. Staple pieces such as gold hardware jewelry + sandals will set a model-like tone. You will be both #OnTheRun + #OnTheRunway!
SIMPLICITY: If you are the girl that can handle being “on the run” in a pair of 5″ heels, this look is for you. My favorite trends of all time, monochromatic + simplicity, will have all eyes on you AND the stage. Remaining simple + mute will speak volumes. The Detroit in me has to have the security of a crossbody bag around large groups of people, nothing better than being sexy AND secure!

My favorite look is the 3rd ensemble. Monochromatic looks are my favorite. I would trade the heels for flat gladiator sandals in the same shade as the dress.
Comfort, comfort, and more comfort. This is definitely NOT the concert for heels! Plenty of stomping, bouncing, winding and standing. I shot for something on the verge of look #1.. #OTR
