Same Girl…Different Hair: Marlo Hampton, My Hairspiration

I love me some Marlo! So you KNOW my jaw dropped when I saw her hair on the reunion show. This hairstyle was everything to me, but I just could not quite understand how her hair blended so well from top to bottom. I mean her hair was touching her butt! Not one hair out of place at the top. You know how the length of your natural hair sometimes separates and shows? Where was Marlo’s?? lol! So I had to ask my hairstylist Malika how was this even possible? And her response was that it was more than likely a lace closure. You know I will try any hair style at least once and I had to see what this was all about!

Lace closure, lace front…whatever the heck you wanna call it, I got one! lol I purchased it from my local beauty supply for $60. This particular brand only comes in one length, but it blends very with my extensions…no obvious separations. I still have the same install from my last SGDH post, except Malika removed my bangs in exchange for this closure. It is sewn in, with a tad bit of glue that’s used for lace closures.

I’ve had it for over a week now and no complaints as of yet. I am also still loving my Madelyn Brazilian Body Wave! You do not have to purchase your closure from a beauty supply and you don’t have to buy one as cheap as mine. There are various options and types that you can choose from that suits your wants and needs. I think this is a perfect substitute for ladies that would like to save the top of their hair from being damaged so much by heat. Also those who workout and constantly sweat the top of their hair out. Or those like me, that just wanted to try it out to see what all the fuss was about. From Beyonce’, Tyra, Trina and Ms. Marlo…they all love a good lace closure!
